My Coach Learning Executive function and academic coaching, elementary through college

Smart student. Missing assignments.

If your student understands the material and still loses the paper, forgets the deadline, or cannot get started — that is not a subject problem, and more tutoring in the subject will not fix it. We teach the system underneath. Elementary through college.

Try it before you talk to anybody

This is a real lesson from our study-skills course — free, with nothing to sign up for. Sit down with your student and work through it. Fifteen minutes, and by the end they will have a page of notes they can actually test themselves from.

Taking notes you can actually use How to write down a lesson so that it still makes sense a week later

Why we give it away

Because it is the honest sample. You can read a page of promises about our coaching, or you can watch your own student work out why writing down every word the teacher says has never once helped them. One of those tells you something.

What we actually do

We find where it breaks

A failing grade has a cause, and it is rarely the one on the report card. Missing work, no plan, no notes, or a two-year-old gap in the subject — they need different help.

We build one system

One place every assignment goes. One way to break a project into evenings. One page layout for notes. Small enough to survive a bad week, because every week is eventually a bad week.

We use their real work

Their syllabus, their calendar, this Friday's quiz. Not worksheets. A system practised on examples gets abandoned the first week it meets a real deadline.

You can see all of it

Your portal has every session, what the coach wrote afterwards, what to practise, and every bill. No calling the office to ask how it is going.

Programs

Executive function coaching first, because it is what most families turn out to need. Subject tutoring when the gap really is in the subject — often both.

Study Skills Foundations

Where the homework goes, how to start it, and how to know when it is done. For students who understand the work and still lose the paper.

$75.00 / 45 min session · grade 3 to grade 6

Organization and Follow-Through

One place for every assignment, a plan that fits an evening, and the habit of checking it. Middle school is where the load first outgrows memory.

$85.00 / 50 min session · grade 6 to grade 9

Academic Coaching

Planning across five classes, a sport and a job. We work from the student's real syllabi, not from examples.

$95.00 / 50 min session · grade 9 to grade 12

College Success Coaching

Nobody checks whether you went. Weekly coaching on the two skills a lecture-hall semester actually needs: scheduling your own time, and reading for retention.

$110.00 / 50 min session · college

Math Tutoring

Pre-algebra through calculus. We find the gap causing this year's trouble, which is usually two years back.

$90.00 / 50 min session · grade 3 to college

Reading and Writing Tutoring

Comprehension, essay structure and revision. The essay work doubles as note-taking work.

$90.00 / 50 min session · grade 3 to grade 12

Science Tutoring

Biology, chemistry and physics — including the reading and lab-write-up skills those classes assume you already have.

$95.00 / 50 min session · grade 7 to college

Study Hall Group

Four students, one coach, an hour of supervised work. The cheapest way to make homework happen at all.

$45.00 / 60 min session · grade 6 to grade 11

SAT and ACT Prep

Diagnostic first, then only the sections that will move the score. Timed practice runs, so the real morning is boring.

Not sure this is your problem?

That is what the free intake is for, and the honest answer is sometimes "this is a math gap, get a math tutor" or "wait a year". We would rather tell you that than take a semester's fees and watch nothing change. Call (614) 555-0148 and ask.
