Taking notes you can actually use · step 2 of 7

Split the page into three

You will set up a page before class starts.

Before the class begins, draw two lines. A vertical one about a third of the way across, and a horizontal one a couple of inches up from the bottom. That is it — the setup takes ten seconds and it does most of the work.

QuestionsNotesSummary

Two lines, three parts. Draw them before the class starts.

What goes where

The order matters more than the sizes. During class you have no spare attention for organising anything, so during class you only do one thing: write in the big box.
